This is a full-time non-remote position that requires both technical acumen and excellent communication skills.

Location: Sunny Greater Los Angeles

MyDentalWig is a data-driven and chip manufacturing related startup with a high growth potential, looking for a trusted, reliable, expert-in-their-field Chief Counsel to take this great opportunity to help us grow efficiently. This role is pivotal in ensuring proper and legal methods of operation, minimizing risk and damages, and ensuring a culture of respect and ethics.

  • Provide advice and guidance regarding and sales obligations,  default, non-renewal and transfers, marketing plans, trademark infringement, trade secrets, product pricing, supplier issues, and other related company issues.
  • Draft and revise disclosure documents, related addendums, consent to transfers, assignments, development agreements, and lease agreements.
  • Revise supplier and vendor agreements including tailoring template agreements for use in specific transactions.
  • Supervise and manage outside counsel in litigation, dispute resolution, employment practices, and other matters.
  • Advise regarding corporate governance and finance matters.
  • Coordinate with senior-level executives and internal experts on company development, intellectual property, data privacy, marketing, HR, and other matters.
  • Serve as corporate secretary and prepare corporate minutes, resolutions, and written consents.
  • Conduct legal research as needed for executive and leadership teams.
  • Ability to innovate, analyze and solve problems with minimal supervisory input, anticipating and identifying legal and other business risks and making recommendations to management, as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in business law with law firm or in-house position. In-house counsel experience strongly preferred.
  • J.D. from accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active bar membership required
  • Experience with employment law, corporate governance and business transactions preferred.
  • Experience with Securities is a must.
  • Ability to interact effectively and work with stakeholders at all levels through exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand complex topics and spot critical issues in a timely manner utilizing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects with a strong attention to detail, prioritization, and meeting all deadlines

Job Type: Full-time
