Lydie is the Inventor of the patented dental impressions kit used by Smile Direct Club and other companies. She is also the inventor of the Patent Pending “Self-Charging Dental Sensor System” that is going to revolutionize the humankind by changing the way we live and “The Mobile Dental Lab”.
Born and raised in the West African nation of Cameroon, Lydie Livolsi always knew her future would be helping people. After graduating dental school in France and then completing a Dental Technician Master’s Program she gained her experience working as a dental technician in a dental lab.
Her focus in dentistry began early on in her life. One of her older sisters was a dentist and she always remembers her beloved grandmother who only had two canines left on her upper jaw.
Her beautiful grandmother loved to eat crunchy roasted peanuts, but she was unable because of her Missing Teeth. She would kneel on the floor and use this ancestral granite crushing stone, which had been passed along generation after generation to crush and form a smooth peanut butter. However, she would tell us that her dream was to be able to chew roasted peanuts. Lydie’s grandmother begged her sister to make her some teeth so she could chew roasted peanuts.
But Lydies’ sister told her that she was a dentist, not a teeth manufacturer. Her responsibility as a dentist was to treat teeth and help people save them. Lydie asked her sister why she would not help their grandmother and her sister took the time to explain the detrimental effects tooth loss has on people’s lives. She also pointed out the weaknesses of the entire Dental profession.
After much research, Lydie learned that dentistry is a patient-centered treatment regimen, and that the entire system is geared towards the dentist while the manufacturing side of the dental profession is largely ignored.
It was after these facts that Lydie chose the dentistry field as a career. She moved to France and entered IFOSUPD a very elite private dental school in South France and UFR d’Otontologie de Reims. Lydie can make crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, inlays, onlays, orthodontics appliances etc. However, she chose to focus on replacing teeth loss.
The day of her flight to Paris, her beloved grandmother gave Lydie all the blessings of her ancestors. She moved to France to learn how to replace missing teeth, and her goal was to return home with a solution for her grandmother. Sadly, her grandmother passed away before she returned, but Lydie pledged on her grave that she would find a solution for missing teeth, in her grandmothers’ honor, and she would share this talent with All people.
Lydie found the solution after many years working in a dental lab. After several prototypes while working in France where Lydie had 2 locations (Paris and Reims the city of Champagne), she invented the rigid premium acrylic dental material and created the DentalWig. Lydie accomplished her goal of solving the problem of missing teeth. The DentalWig snaps into the empty space comfortably and replaces your missing teeth.
Her next move was relocating to Los Angeles and gaining her FDA approval and patent.
Because Lydie moved from Paris to Los Angeles as a French investor, and with English as her 4th language, she had to start everything from scratch including going back to college. She aced all her college classes. From her personal experience, Lydie realized that there was no structure in place here in the U.S. helping foreign investors to move to the United States with their family, expand their business and live the American dream. That why, she decided to find the best way to help them to come to America.
